A barricade system could always be fun.

Only since there's no "zombie" type class in this game, barricades would have to keep out everyone equally, and thus would be... rather hard to use.

he might have been thinking more of a nexus war type barricade. a skill which allows you to "erect barricade to the (east/west/north/south)" each time you do the barricade, the HP of the 'cade increases by a certain amount.

Meh. I would still be impossible to keep enemies out without keeping enemies out. Instead, you could have a nexus war type ward, that keeps people of certain alignments out. This would most likely be based on the "peaceful intentions" flag, so you could only enter if you had said flag active. Say, that would solve the whole problem...

I would love to hear thoughts on this one, quite specific part of this concept: How do you get in/there? HELP Please..... and everyone/anyone can choose to enter, we could have "consequences" for any evil-doers.
I am in favor of a "spirit crystals", mainly cause I love having more stuff that is pretty and I could so RP with that. Also, it could serve as a very needed mid-range value item. But that is not enough.

I'm in favor of simply entering if you meet the conditions, not needing to use/attain any items. Partly because it simplifies things, and partly because my inventory is always packed so full of stuff that I never have room for darts. The ratio of things I want vs. the amount of stuff I can carry is too high already.

Every person playing this game deserves to be able to role play. In/at/where ever in game they want to, I can not exclude pker. This is for everyone to have access to. It would be truely unfair to to exclude anyone.
So "how" do we enter or get "in" ?

You get in/there by clicking enter/move, provided you have the peaceful intentions flag active. Every person playing this game deserves to be able to role play. In/at/where ever in game they want to, I can not exclude pker. This is for everyone to have access to. It would be truely unfair to to exclude anyone.
PKers WOULD be able to get in (using my idea), they'd just have to go for a week without killing someone first. If the "spirit crystal" or whatever was reasonably rare or hard-to-get, they could even use this time searching for/obtaining one. I admit it seems somewhat harsh, but seriously, if they wanted to instantly go off into magical invincibility, they shouldn't have killed someone like that. I mean, wouldn't it be rather hypocritical to want the right to a magical safe zone if people like you are the whole reason that magical safe zones are needed in the first place? Also, there's something about this suggestion that I've been wondering about for awhile: Why does everyone deserve the right to be able to RP, but not to peacefully trade, to kill animals, or to chop jungle? I admit some of those have more potential to harm or at least inconvenience other PCs, and they'd also be much harder to protect in such a way than an RPer, but nontheless... it's something to think about.

Maybe would could have a time limit on when you last did an "evil" action (attacking a player/trader/shaman) for until that time limit is up, you can't go inside. You can make it as short as 5 secs or as long as 5 years, but this way nobody is excluded from sacred space for good.

Evil-doers (having pked with in 15 days) could be fined in AP for every minute or hour they stayed in sacred space. To leave, they would die and respawn at the farthest shaman with -AP equal to time spent there. AlexanderRM Also, there's something about this suggestion that I've been wondering about for awhile: Why does everyone deserve the right to be able to RP, but not to peacefully trade, to kill animals, or to chop jungle? Yes, working on just exactly that. Thanks everyone, keep it coming. How do we get IN there ?

HOW we can get there is easy IMHO. Have "secret" locations in towns/any other place found needed that have a(Insert something shiny here) that will whisk you away (teleport to the sacred space) if you are allowed to enter. When you leave... Take you back where you where??? Or it could be used as a sort of highway system as well.
Example: "You touch the (shiny thingy here) and you feel yourself become raise into the air. A strong wind carries you up wards, into the clouds, revealing a small town. As you land you feel a sensation of protection."
"Leaving the paradise you have just been in, you are thrown back down to the earth you have just been to, dying upon the bone smashing impact." ...
Ok maybe not that exit one, but it was fun...Maybe use that for the PKers?

What about entry by speaking a numerical/text code at the shaman?
The exact code could change daily/weekly/other, maybe you even have to get the code from someone in sacred-space at the moment.

How would that work for those who don't participate in the forums?

K, my turn to ramble. Say if your safe zone was located magically in the clouds, you could have a "stairway to heaven" sort of thing. On the ground level/entrance: "There is a stairway leading to the clouds here. There is a bustle in the hedgerow, but you don't feel alarmed. There is a sign on the wall that reads "Your stairway lies on the whispering wind."" Enter safe zone/stairway to heaven -->For those deemed worthy to enter the "safe zone":"There's a feeling that you get, when you look to the west, and your spirit is crying for leaving. You start to wonder as your corporeal essence is displaced to a higher ground. Ooh, it really makes you wonder." For naughty PKers/griefers/joiks:The wind whispers something in your ear. "Yes there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run, there's still time to change the road you're on." You don't feel that you are worthy to scale the steps. Go play outside or something. For a mountain zone, you could have a shargle carrier express. Shargles do fly, don't they? For underground zones, possibly mining crews that escort you or sth.
