Is he dead dead, in the way Blue Hummingbird and the ancestors are, or is he simply in a state of mundane death that happens to be indefinite, in the way many regular people (such as, for example, Bloodthirsty Psycho or A Mind Flayer) are?

The Grand Tyrant has passed on to another realm. We made all efforts to revive him, but the bad weed got 'im. It does look like there were suspicious circumstances though, and there will likely be an investigation.

My understanding of what The Great Khali said is that he's gone inactive unintentionally. That's what I meant by "the latter", anyway.

Anthor goes into a trance again, and this time starts talking in a different low voice... one which growls like a tiger
You say “A path is seen,”
You say “It goes north west”
You say “Around the lake,”
You say “Across the steppe.”
You say “Upon the wind,”
You say “I hear a cry”
You say “Raktam, Raktam,”
You say “I wonder why.”
You say “Go to the SofaKing,”
You say “Ask him where,”
You say “The Path begins,”
You say “But do not stare.”
Anthor falls to the floor in a dead faint.

(OOC- The clues will be posted here, one day later than in the KOS Sub-forum, to allow the members of the KOS and allies to find the skulls without harrasment from those dirty outsiders!)

Iwashere runs off in Raktam's general direction.
Etherdrifter pulls up a seat
Anthor wakes up from his unconsciousness. "Wha.. what happened? All I remember is something about seeing the King in Raktam?!"
You say “It is time to move on. For whatever reason, I have to speak to the King. Let us meet in Raktam, in the Royal Court.”
You carve Kingdom of Skulls - Throne Room. The entrance is magically sealed, and there is a note tacked on saying "Join the Hunt for the Missing Skulls of the Ancients" onto the side of a hut.
You scratch out what was carved there before.
Anthor grabs SillyLilyPily's hand and pulls her along with him as he rushes off towards Raktam
A tiger mauls you for 3 damage.
You step inside.
SillyLilyPily breezes into the door and bows her head to Anthor on her way to SofaKing
SillyLilyPily bows down to SofaKing, then looks up to him slowly.
SillyLilyPily hands SofaKing a silver cross, presented on a reed woven cushion.
SillyLilyPily says “this gift of honor and trust I give to you on behalf of Anthor and The Kingdom of Skulls.”
Maximillion Pike says “Wow. Now I feel kind of bad for throwing a bottle of beer at him and reminding him he is a savage. Good show, Lils.” with a slight accent.
Anthor smiles at SillyLilyPily. "Thank you, Sweet One."
Anthor bows gracefully to the King.
You say “SofaKing, I am glad that we finally get to meet. If only it was not in such dire circumstances. I knew your Brother, Black Fang, well. I feel your loss, it is heavy on all of our hearts.”
You say “I fear his passing was not one of natural causes. I know he liked the herbs, but I hear rumors that he was given bad herbs by someone.”
You say “If I find out who was involved in his murder, I will sever their heads myself, but only after they've been flayed alive for as long as it takes to show them how much pain they have caused all of us.”
You say “In his passing, the spirits of the Ancient Ones have become disturbed and angry. The Royal Magician Etherdrifter was forced to seal the door to the KOS Throne Room to stop the darkness from spreading”
You say “from inside of the Throne Room across Wiksik and beyond. The spirits came to me in trance, and asked that we find and return the four skulls of the Ancient Ones. They will not stop or cease their... ”
You say “Anger, until the skulls have been returned. Therefore, we are on a hunt for the four skulls. And the first step was to come to Raktam.”
You say “Have you heard of Frodor? He went to map the caves, and I haven't seen him since. He hasn't been heard of for 14 cycles.”
Frib says “Good day!”
Butterfly Li says “Frodor, you say?”
Butterfly Li says “He was here just last night. He was bleeding something awful, though I was able to patch him up. He said some sort of dark creature had gotten to him.”
Butterfly Li uses a healing herb on you and restores 3 health.
Butterfly Li says “I must take my leave for now, though I shall return as soon as I am able.”
Butterfly Li bows her head to the King, before leaving the hut.
Pallaton stand up and leaves the throne room, still in trance.
Maximillion Pike says “Dang, Sofaman, that is pretty sweet the respect you command now. Ooo, can you send anyone to their death and they have to do it cause you said so?”
Maximillion Pike sratches stuff while not looking you in the eye
Xenu stares at Max's amulets.
Xenu says “Outsider! Can I help you relieve yourself of all those amulets you carry? They must take up alot of space.”
AliceBeth says “Sorry I'm late. Blasted boar tried to gore me.”
Pallaton shambles throught the entrance and mutters something like "bra!nz..." while going to the back of the room.
Pallaton carves something onto the wall.
Pallaton scratches out what was carved on the wall.
Pallaton stops carving and falls on the floor head-on.
Ropata enters and stands quietly, you sense he has run the distance from Dalpok in a single night. He looks strangely calm, disturbingly sane.
T-T says “Why the heck is it so packed in here today? O_o”
T-T says “Oh, hai KOS dudes. What brings y'all here in Raka-rak-rak-raktam?”
Jace Daskull says “Diplomacy. Also, after today, I may not be able to get on until saturday. ”
Frodor runs in, sees Anthor, and hugs him like a brother. "Anthor! I passed on a message from a mysterious stranger to the SofaKing, but now you're here, I can give it to you directly."
Frodor says “The stranger said "Go West, to the second sign, and then north west. Follow the trees!"”
Frodor hugs Anthor again. "I must go. Be strong Avatar."
Ropata says “Anthor is it? The would be pretender to the KOS throne? Why did Skullface leave? Why did you step forward?”
Ropata says “And can someone please explain the ancient skulls that have been haunting my dreams? They're making Mr Machete nervous.”
Ropata twinges as he fingers the large golden machete by his side, which seems to hum at his touch.
You say “Pretender, Ropata? I don't see anyone else standing up and taking the lead. The Grand Tyrant was murdered. He was given some bad herbs, by person or persons unknown. Believe me, there will be an...”
You say “investigation, and when I discover who killed him, I will lay down the wrath of the Ancient Ones upon them. They will know no place to hide. And I will be bery happy to take personal attention...”
You say “in torturing them for as long as they've caused us the pain and misery of his tremendous loss. And I think AliceBeth has a penchant for flaying enemies of the Kingdom of Skulls alive.”
Anthor glances to AliceBeth and winks at her
You say “The Ancient Skulls that you mention, Ropata... they are the four skulls of the Ancient Ones. Since the death of Black Fang, the spirits grow restless and have begun to plunge the world into a darkness”
You say “...never before seen. To protect Wiksik, and the rest of the island, the Great Magician Etherdrifter has sealed the Kingdom of Skulls Throne Room to prevent the darkness from seeping out.”
You say “It is extremely important that we retrieve the skulls as quickly as possible, and we are on quest to do so. In fact...”
Anthor suddenly has a seizure, falls back against Iwashere (who holds him up) and starts chanting in some unknown dialect.
Anthor 's chants grow progressively louder, and you see a deep blue light start to emanate from all around of him.
Anthor starts talking in a much deeper voice, with an accent that sounds very much like the Cannibals. "What is next?"
You say “Take the road west.”
You say “But at the second sign,”
You say “Stop and rest.”
You say “Northwest from there,”
You say “Dry your tears,”
You say “Look for trees,”
You say “And then you'll see.”
You say “There is a hole,”
You say “Into the ground,”
You say “If you're not clear,”
You say “You'll circle round.”
Anthor comes out of the trance so quickly that he nearly falls on his face. Iwashere catches him.
Anthor shakes his head. "Thank you my friend."
You say “Now we have the next clue. Tomorrow we shall continue on our quest. If anyone wants to go ahead and scout the way tonight, please feel free to do so.”

You'll probably be needed in Raktam!

Hexoatl has had a vision, the ancient ones came to him and they told him that the Kingdom of Skulls are the only nation strong enough to unite the island.

Is Hexoatl talking as a supporter of the KOS? Or as a spy for the Dirty Outsiders who wish to slaughter the poor, innocent, natives? :p
