...cannibal natives from Dalpok, Raktam and Wiksik? There are a few who have been living as cannibals prior to the appearance of Rakmogak.
I understand that there are also a couple of cannibal outsiders from York. What about them?

Mainlanders lack the culinary sophistication of Rakmogak. Proper cannibals can taste the 'terrain' of the flesh like a fine wine or artisan cheese. You lot wouldn't know if it was swapped out with venison or game fowl.

Dinner, nice bottle of wine, good conversation, Knock 'em on the head - HARD so they don't suffer - then eat them. Or befriend them. It probably all depends on how you feel.
Does there have to be a hard and fast rule? No other group seems to feel the need to make unilateral policies about their treatment of other groups. There are plenty of pirates who only kill natives, there are plenty of pirates who kill natives and outsiders, there are plenty of pirates who kill natives, outsiders and other pirates and then there was Long Finn Killie..
And so on and so on. If <I> were a native, and I saw a cannibal, I would treat them, I suppose, much as I treat pirates now - read the profile, see what it says, not be overly surprised if they murder me if I spend the night standing next to them, especially at the shipwreck.

Main Island people are all considered to be "meat". Meat can get my respect if the meat eludes my mauling and roasting.

the Cult of Sky-Blood holds no official teaching regarding non-Rakmogaki cannibal practitioners. However, unofficially, Elder Cannibals in the past have welcomed these "converts" from mainstream native thinking, however they must first go on a dangerous pilgrimage to Rakmogak to receive the Elder Cannibal's blessing to be put on their profile, which should mark them as "Converts" and be welcomed in Rakmogak society. Not all meat is good for your health, Children of Rakmogak. Some are illegal by law and tradition, others are merely just not good to look at or taste.

I think that Natives of all sorts should regard each other as brothers. We may come from different homes or have slightly different eating habits, but in the end... at the very least, the Outsiders are too much of a threat for us to fight amongst ourselves now. I suggest that, at the very least, we find some way to deal with them before we start worrying about such minor differences. The Outsiders are the enemy of all of us, and the enemy of my enemy is my friend. I'd support Native unity even after they've been defeated, but if we have to make do with temporary alliances, then that will have to do.

Cannibals are of the same flesh as Natives, yet are foreign to the mainland's ways.
Outsiders are of different flesh from Cannibals, but are alike in their foreign nature.
Personally, I could see the Outsiders getting chummy in providing Cannibals info and means to nom on people.

Outsiders and Cannibals are farther from each other than either of them is from the mainland Natives. Also, what is the difference, really, between Cannibals and mainland outsiders? They come from different villages, certainly, but that has never divided them before. I really don't see why a cannibal should eat mainland natives but not other cannibals... I doubt the taste is very different, especially in the case of mainland cannibals with the same diet as these ones.

...And maybe make us have a different denomination (right word?) too. I actually have an idea on that... After you eat your first person, they can see it in your eyes with Sixth sense. Maybe. Something like that.

Maybe. Something like that.
There was a very positive discussion on IRC about an adjunct to the 'player kills' stats table which would record those who had eaten the most people. Probably a top 20 of the cannibals with the biggest appetites.

Let me think... that would make it harder for a native to survive on Skull island... However, that would also make it easier to identify cannibal attackers... I'm just gonna vote no on that one... still clinging to the hope that the cannibals will turn out an actual assistance rather than a minor annoyance. If it becomes important for other Natives to be able to recognize cannibals on sight, then I'd support it, though.
