I can't wait for the stats!

For the methodology - Underworld was one and only place to check the scores, and the contestants list was compiled thanks to the DDU and DHC topics @ forumsplace's forums. My own deaths are taken from my memory, as the Underworld shows only 2 of 4.

Well, that's all

Foo, Underworld tells me that you had 18 dumbhamish heads, not 19.

*oh lama, would you make a banner for the winner *

no problems unfortunatelly, the one and only to get the badge would be supermuppet76 for being the most unfortunate trophy, I could also give one to lady bellamie, slain 3 times in a row by the same person

That is a great idea! Everybody can post their personal views of the now over contest here.

If you ask me, I am very happy to win this contest, on the other hand the score could have been much much better. First days were quite uneasy, as Colonials, Mercies and Pistoleers took their DDU job realy seriously, adding lack of any strategy on my side. That caused 2 of my deaths, Mister Kuijt, you did a great job there. Third one was a piraterish lass Irene, killing me right after being revived (that made me mad oh so mad ). For the rest of the month - apart from the almost real-time duel with Serph, consequence of my suicide run into the medical hut - I managed to find some safe methods to collect heads and remain alive - first was a bit disappointing because I wasn't sure if I would get at least head a day... Thanks to the Dumbhamites and my inventive thinking I could hide in the jungle about 20 squares from the dwelling and feel really comfortable, with almost no possibility of someone discovering me there.
I spent more than one week with 1 hp and finally I got clawed down by some tigger. Bad kitty !

I'm looking forward to Derby Derby, hopefully more people will take part!

Was a nice contest, poorly the way back from the shaman was very long. But hey, that was the thrill. Quite funny over there in the far west of the island. Soon it's time for Derby Derby and I'm already back in Wiksik. Guess whom I met there first...

Dying a lot is not as easy as head-taking...

some notes from Jesus' diary on the contest:

Quote
Leaving Wiksik on the 29th of November I was carrying so many herbs that I couldn't almost move anymore. On my way I got killed twice and had to start the trek anew.  As soon as I arrived in the Durham area I was figuring out the best hiding places and could collect a few heads of decent quality. After an adventurous fight with Lucifer Rustypants I got killed by Tom Failur. Three days later and back the whole situation seemed to be changed - the DDU finally must have come to agree in the righteousness of our collection endeavours. No counter-collectors in sight, but only friendly throphies awaiting me. I especially enjoyed visits to the ruins and the village. All young Durham folk was welcoming me, their necks readily decorated with flowers and beautiful wreaths.
Then, as the month almost went by, I must have broken one of their secret rules of hospitality (they are really crazy about all these titles, I guess my failures to address them right made them mad). Right after another visit in the medical hut one of the older village inhabitants, Serph, sent me away.
