As one of the official EF leadership, or someone who thinks they are I think it's up to me to resolve this conflict. Lukas, if you tell us to chose between our native friends and you, then you're prodding a sleeping lion. I'm not fully briefed on the situation, so if you'd like to state your grievances here, I'd be mroe than happy to argue endlessly with you.

I could pretty much tell you:
The natives or the 1CM. Choose one. You choose the natives the 1CM, I suppose, will declare war or whatever.
You choose the 1CM then the natives declare war on you I bet.

Ah the backstabber Zombie. It has been a while since you last opposed York's finest. I have not forgotten your little episode with the MG. Such treachery can never be forgotten.
Now you try and threaten us? To prod a sleeping Lion? I see no lion. I see cowardly backstabbers. I see scum that would put the native filth before their cousins.
I see no sense of loyalty.
I see outsiders no better than natives and pirates.
The EF will choose. Then all shall know whether Derby deserves to be known as an outsider town.

Sam, normally I'd post up a storm, but it's just not worth it. You've read my PMs and you know how I feel. Anyone else who cares to join in is welcome to, of course.

We're a little busy right now, otherwise we'd offer the EF assistance in policing what has clearly evolved to become a gang of violent, homeless desperadoes.
In fact, their existence and consequential potential threat to regional stability suggests that we as two organisations have not been astute enough to co-operate in dealing with roaming packs of criminals. This is something we need to address in the fullness of time.

Could I just ask one thing of this conflict? Could people PLEASE try for small fatal wounds? I mean sewing up some of the horribly dismembered corpses of 1CM members is a real pain. Re-animation does not all happen by magic! Try using guns and blowpipes in the future is possible please, it makes it easier for guild members to bring the dead back to life as undead minions.

Good Gods, it takes me back Why on earth do we have to chose? What's the beef that you two have with each other? Oh, and if this comes to blows, it can either take up the island, or I can meet you on Midway and we can slug it out there... We never had an alliance in York anyway, just some kind of informal friendliness, we have treaties and such with Raktam, but the old CP and CCTU are long gone into Valhalla.

And what if the EF doesn't want make a choice? That we don't choose York or Raktam, that we stay independent. If we choose for that option, then what will you do, Sam? Still declare war on us? If so, that will only confirm my suspicion that you are looking for a fight and you don't care against who. If you want a war, go confront Raktam directly, but leave us out of it. You say you hate natives, but you would kill your own kind because of it? Something is not right with that...

The EF organises all law enforcement services within Derby (and other services such as the Academy). Like it or not, they are Derby. If anyone feels otherwise they should challenge the EF. After all, might is right, isn't it Sam? I thought that Derby was independent from the political sh*tfests that plague York and Durham? When did that change? Master Lucky is correct to point out these flaws. Sabre rattling really should be backed by common sense and logic. The 1CM might do better to focus on their home town. Last time I went through York (a week or so ago) it was drowning in PKers and scum (much more so than usual) and the bodies were piling up like driftwood on the shore. I suspect there would be a lot of positive local support for an organised group who were prepared to do something about that situation.

Personally I feel Police Forces of any kind just don't work in Shartak, and trying to police a town/village is a pretty thankless and boring task, and there are far better things to do in game than that.
Why not just form clans and run around killing each other for :palm:s and giggles like everyone else?

Oh I don't know, because some of us like to role play that way?
Making clans just to kill other clans, hmm.. Give me a reason why that wouldn't get old very very fast. Faster than being a police officer on a tropical island full of murderers becomes old, that is.

We give police officers their jobs. Without us causing trouble, they'd be sitting in their huts drinking tea and talking about making a new trade route. Stow the talking and bring out the weapons!

The EF will choose.
Indeed, but I'd like us to choose to stay out of your feud. I thought that Derby was independent from the political sh*tfests that plague York and Durham? When did that change? Master Lucky is correct to point out these flaws.
This is better phrased than I could have said it.

Or you could just agree to not house natives and stop a war from happening.

Haha, you housed the Grand Vizier.
You're just hungry for money, you have no real ideals.
From the King of Greater Raktam to the citizens of the Eastern Federation:
I have heard through the grapevine of the strange 'choice' you have been given.
This false dichotomy of 'choose the natives or choose the 1CM.' We are not asking you to choose anything nor do we understand the reason behind this 'You are either with us or you are against us' nonsense.
There is no threat of war from my people to your people. You have declined our offer of membership in the Commonwealth and we have respected that. The only thing I would wish to see between us would be increased trade.
