The Daily Rag

I haven't really got time to implement this idea, so I'll toss it out and see if anybody is willing to run with it.

At the moment, the Derby Evening Press does a fine job of reporting on the events, but it's slow to come out, and reading it requires that you have knowledge of the Wiki.  I like to think of it as the Time Magazine of Shartak, as such.

So here's what I suggest: The Daily Rag, or some similar name.  It's an in-game invitation-only clan; subscriptions to the newspaper could cost, let's say, one gold coin a month.  Being subscribed means that you are informed whenever there's a new article out; said articles would be written directly into the clan description itself, since clan news doesn't allow formating.  It's possible to read the Daily Rag without subscribing, of course, but it's nice to be informed every time a new article comes out.

The Daily Rag should be written quickly and in brief, covering all and any events on the island without going into too much detail.  The advantages of such a newspaper would be the near-instant covering of events throughout the island (as opposed to the DEP's more deliberate reporting), while letting non-metagamers know about the world beyond their borders.  Not to mention the flavor of having an in-game newspaper, of course.
