I've been playing Starport on and off for years now, and I've gotten rather serious about it sometimes and rather lax others. All the times, though, i've quit out of boredom. The reason behind this boredom: No people I know. Not a single one. Now I can't say I know all of you by heart, although I have come into contact with several of you, but just out of curiosity, is anyone interested in playing on a permaverse ("Universe that stays in the game forever") and starting up a corporation and doing all that good stuff?

Because I am. Anyone else interested?

Just tell me and then we can agree on a permaverse and start playing.

this looks pretty cool. I'll need to check it out further in a week or so when I have time, but I'm interested.

Alright. They have a forum, but its way more in depth than from when I remember. All this ship running and stuff. I just did taxi services to get my money, and i turned out..... i need a delicate word here........ "fine" (the truth is I had a big killing spree and stole from ports non-stop. I was universially hated, but that was with an old Username, and the server shut down after a while)

So, what are we going to name our corporation: Shartak and Outer Islands Space Exploration Commitee (SOISEC)?

Any better names?

Possible Players: Im going to go ahead and "stake a claim" in one of the permaverses, so when we start out we will have some cash and possibly a planet or two. The choice is between one of the beginning pverses, or one of the newer pverses.

Tried it out, and it seems fun enough. Trading in dangerous areas while evading opponents worked out fine for me, but the outrageous prices to park anywhere safe a longer period of time does take an edge off the free atmosphere. I suppose joining or creating an alliance does serve to make safe zones of your own, but freelancers seem a bit exposed. Wasnt many online even in the main universe, so how much player interaction can be expected in one of the minor ones? I guess you create separate players in the different universes, so since I'm still interested in trying it out and improving a character, perhaps you could pm me the universe you're working with and details concerning location, working with planets etc.?

As for names, I tried figuring out some that worked out both ridiculously and suitably (such as S.A.S.S.Y. and C.R.A.B.S.), but the only one that came together completely was this:

"SOD OFF" - Shartak Omega Department: The Ominous Flamboyant Federation

Oooh, now I think I know how to actually play this as well. Have taken over a colony, gotten a lot of experience, and armed myself to the teeth. Tried keeping my reputation up too, but a few... "accidents" still keep me at a neutral level there.

I was thinking Permaverse 4. Fewer people, and I've already established myself there. Not to mention we can get some easy land.

Colonies are growing, defenses up and being improved, and the future is looking bright. Seems I'm hooked for the time being.
