I was just heading off on a long trip to Durham and the thick jungle was annoying so I thought, we really need a road to Dalpok (I was planning to stop at Dalpok on the way. So I retraced my steps back to Raktam and noticed that apparently someone had recently started on a similar project, judging by the few squares of cleared jungle in the direction of the Holy Mountain with a native at the end. So anyway, I went out to chop a bit farther, but sadly I was low on AP and couldn't do much.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone would like to help. The road currently ends at [-70.339,+26.467] and I'm thinking of having it go straight until it reaches the Mountain, then go over it until it goes all the way around that little thin part at the north-west and then south to Dalpok.

Whats really needed is signposted roads between all 3 native villages.  I'll help out with the Raktam-Dalpok road as I am heading to Dalpok then to Raktam anyways in the next week or so.  I'll bring some driftwood for signs.

Yes some signs would be nice. How far apart do you think we should space them? 5 squares so that you can always see one on the game map?
Oh, and the road has already reached the holy mountain! All rejoice! Now we just need to go around to the north and then a short distance to Dalpok.

I'm setting off in 2 days.  Signposts, well if its to be every 5 squares I may need a little help carrying all the wood but sounds good to me.  Maybe with the directions to the village carved in?  So if some of the signs are damaged (heaven forfend) at least the guidance system will still work.

I'm in Dalpok right now Alexander, you want help with the road?

Where do you want the road to come off of, the western most point of the city?

It might be a good idea to link the Dalpok-Shipwreck Trail I made with the Raktam-Dalpok road.

My trail starts North West of the med hut in Dalpok, and will eventually lead right to the shipwreck (once I can finally find some :palm:ing driftwood)

Well, looking at this newfangled contraption the outsiders call the "ubermap", uh... well, it's loading a little slowly, so I'll get back to you on that.
Later: Hmm, from Dalpok, I'd suggest heading north to the square just west of the easternmost part of the Holy Mountain and chopping straight down, since that would apparently bring you right into the cleared patch of Dalpok. Or you could use the ubermap yourself and try to find out about where that would leave you and chop north from there. It's your choice.
So anyway, that would mean the road would end in the east part of Dalpok, a couple squares east of the easternmost huts.

Actually, I think there's already a large cleared patch about where they would meet, I believe people refer to it as Dalpok.
Anyway, I'd rather not actually deliberately attempt to link Raktam to The Shipwreck, even in a roundabout way. I'm sure there would be some Raktamites who would be happy of such a convenience and it would be kinda cool to have a road network going everywhere and I'll try linking Raktam with Dalpok anyway, but I'm not so sure about the shipwreck...

Well, I got killed by an angry pirate who I'd managed to almost kill myself, go figure.  Once I find out where the roaming shaman put me, I'll come up with a way to connect it.

Ohh, that must hurt. That reminds me of this demon I ran into today on Nexus War. Oh wait, that doesn't work. I killed him.  Smiley

I tried the Nexus war, couldn't get into it.

On topic, I'm going to run the road from the tip of the Mountain, straight into Dalpok proper.

A rat could provide protection for those trying to make a path.  I want a path to Dalpok, too.
