I was going to say something to that effect.

As I soared beyond the clouds

You asked "Do you believe in love?"
and I shook my head
So, your sins unto me as I fall down
never to return from this land
My wings are clipped, my voice stilled,
Goodbye.

If you're worried about street crime like muggings or something, not at all. Vegas relies heavily on tourists, and violent crime would affect that, so it's pretty tightly restrained.

It's the kind of place that I think everyone should try and see once. It's really a one of a kind city, a giant paen to humanity's decadence and excess rising out of a desert that should be unable to support it. There's a hotel built like a giant black pyramid, another that has New York's skyline in miniature built on top, a castle, several designed like Italian cities... one has a pirate ship out front, they used to do battles on it. Just a big mish mash of bigger and more extravagant luxuries, it's heavily bizarre.

Like I said, I wouldn't want to spend a significant amount of time there, but it's got to be see to be believed. Utterly bizarre.

Looks like one giant tourist trap of a city.

this is boring. take it or leave it. for everything else, it is the wrong context here.
talking about weed as a sidenote in a public game forum only makes one look like a wannabe...

"hey I am not a geek - I am a proper crazeeeeee guy and live the dangerous RL" LOL

But this "I'm too high and mighty to ever TOUCH a drug" talk isn't the same type of nonsense?

Surely it is. Despite of the fact that I did not utter anything concerning my own opinion about drugs, I know that I am neither high nor mighty (damn, I wish I would be...), but for other reasons than my opinion concerning drugs ... Anyway...

Maybe you didn't get my point. I did not adress anyone's motives (or authenticity) in this discussion. I don't care about motives - and like I said, take it or leave it (It doesn't even matter if I am pro or con).

What I want to emphasize is that there is not really a point in discussing it, because such a discussion won't actually make anyone think over their own viewpoints. (same as in discussing religion, politics etc. ) And this is a sad thing, but merely there.
Instead (see bold parts) it makes one look like seeking for attention in the public circus of self-portrayal and thus hinderes a real discussion that goes beyond the point that says: "you're stupid because you do not think the way I do"

I've never been one for attention, but I don't hide anything either. I get  this same response when I go out to the city in drag "you just want attention, you just want everyone to look at you and think you're crazeeeeee"

No, actually I just don't care to edit myself for anyone. I do the same things and admit the same things in public that I would in private.

No doubt. You know, I did not adress you or your authenticity, no drama here.
It is just really hard to talk about some topics on the internet because the normal way people will perceive it is an automatism... and this is what concerns me.

so all in all, I (for example) could choose now:

a) If I really want to change anything about the public opinion on drugs (no matter if you are pro or con) I also gotta cope with the meaning that is usually connected to talking about drugs in public

b) If I simply like to talk a bit about myself, my opinions and my life I go on

A pirate ship? Awesome!
One of the girls at work asked me today if the two sailing ships anchored in Port Phillip Bay were pirate ships I assured her they were not. I then continued to eat my Risotto.

Weed? Not my thing anymore.
